Description

Professional Development Day for Therapy Practitioners (Cork)

Strategy. Sustainability. Professional Growth.

Private practice rarely stays the same.

Caseloads grow.
Complexity increases.
Administrative demands expand.
Professional ambitions evolve.

Yet many practitioners find themselves maintaining a practice model that developed gradually rather than intentionally.

The Evolving Private Practice Event is a one-day professional development experience designed for therapy practitioners who want the space to pause, reflect, and thoughtfully consider how their work is evolving.

This day offers a structured opportunity to explore how your practice currently operates and to identify practical adjustments that support both sustainability and professional growth.

What the Day Will Include

Participants will engage in a range of facilitated activities including:

• Practice mapping
• Structured peer consultation
• Evidence-informed frameworks for sustainable practice
• Reflection on professional demands and resources
• Exploration of future opportunities for growth and collaboration
• Practical planning for the next phase of practice development

The focus is not on starting a practice, but on supporting practitioners who are already working in the field and want to think strategically about the future of their work.

Who This Event Is For

This event is open to therapy practitioners across Ireland, including:

  • Occupational Therapists
  • SLTs
  • Psychologists
  • Physiotherapists
  • Counsellors
  • Psychotherapists
  • Clinical social workers

Participants may be in private practice, organisational roles, or a combination of both.

What Participants Can Gain

By the end of the day, participants should leave with:

• Greater clarity about how their practice is currently structured
• Insight into areas that may need adjustment or redesign
• A stronger understanding of sustainability in professional practice
• New connections with peers in the therapy community
• A clear next step for the development of their practice over the coming months
