Way Ahead Therapy: Growing Our Occupational Therapy Services Across Ireland

Over the past five years, Way Ahead Therapy has grown in ways I couldn’t have imagined when I first started.

What began as a small, values-led service has gradually developed into a wider team of associates supporting individuals and families across Ireland. Throughout that growth, one thing has remained constant, our focus on thoughtful, neurodiversity-affirming support that meets people where they are.

As we’ve grown, we’ve been able to expand our occupational therapy services into more locations across Ireland. This means more young people, and adults can access practical, meaningful support closer to home, or online where needed.

Watch the video above to learn more about how Way Ahead Therapy has grown and where we’re now offering support.

Access to occupational therapy in Ireland can make a real difference in everyday life, whether that’s:

  • Developing independence skills
  • Navigating school or work environments
  • Managing sensory differences
  • Supporting emotional regulation
  • Building confidence in daily routines
  • Supporting neurodivergent individuals in a strengths-based way

For many families and individuals, accessing the right support can be challenging. Expanding into more locations helps reduce barriers and ensures support is more accessible.

At Way Ahead Therapy, all our associate occupational therapists are Coru registered. Our occupational therapy services are:

  • Neurodiversity-affirming
  • Individualised and collaborative
  • Practical and meaningful
  • Focused on real-life goals
  • Supportive of families and individuals

We work alongside individuals and families to understand what matters most, and to build supports that feel manageable and sustainable.

As Way Ahead Therapy has grown, we’re now able to offer occupational therapy support across Cork, Kerry, Galway, Roscommon, Dublin as well as online services.

This continued growth allows us to:

  • Reduce waiting times
  • Offer more flexible appointments
  • Support more families and individuals
  • Provide local access to specialist services

I’m incredibly grateful to the team that has made this growth possible over the past five years. Expanding our occupational therapy services is an important step in making thoughtful, accessible support available to more people.

And we’re just getting started!

If you’re looking for occupational therapy support, or want to learn more about how we work, we’d be happy to hear from you.
